I added more time to both of these with the TS115 and IDAS D2 filter.

M33 is 22x5 minutes.

Horsehead is 35x6 minutes. The colours are nicer with the broadband D2 filter but I think detail would be better with the L-Enhance, so I'll give it another go.

A very nice B33 and Flame neb Tony, looks very smooth and a nice wideish field.

Thanks guys.
Nik, I do fairly basic processing - stack in DSS, Histogram Transform/Background Extraction/odds & sods in PI and some adjustment in PS. There's a lot more I could learn about PI but haven't been motivated so far.

Horse head in particular is very fine. I wonder about those stars near galaxies that seem to have a red glow behind. What is the explanation for that kind of star appearance do you think. It might be a type of light amplified by the galaxy behind do you think?

Thanks Ray and Fernando.

Might be just a processing artefact Ray?

Good looking Flame and Horse image Tony - you have your Alnitak well under control. (I really struggle with my 1600MM-Pro and its awful microlensing issue). I think I need to have a go at it with my one-shot camera or maybe DSLR again.

Thanks Kelvin. I got some more frames with the L-Enhance filter last night. This is 3 hours 21 minutes with that filter.
The L-Enhance version shows more detail which makes sense when one considers that proper narrow band filters show even more detail.

And a final M33, 2 hours 31 minutes, a bit cleaner looking than the previous one.
