Thanks for posting your images from the past few days, though not huge proms, at least there is still some activity to capture.
Have lost a bit of enthusiasm lately and too many other distractions taking up time, like house and car repairs etc.

Thanks Jeff, appreciated.
I’m surprised that there no active solar imagers getting practice at the moment.

nice Ken! but 2109??
I bought a solar scope last year and have hardly used it due to working days and weekend kids, want to get back into it but I remember last time I had a hard time seeing anything as the sun was so bright- how do you manage looking at the computer in bright sunlight? did you build a cardboard booth or something?

Graham,
Obvious typo....
I’ve rigged up the mount to be operated from inside the office...
Extension for the Synscan controller and the focus motor allow me to sit in the dark with the PC and control the set -up. Works well for me.

I did use a 80l grey tub with hinged lid on a camping table for many years.. now things are much easier.

Hi Ken, I just got my Lunt 50mm single stack out and it looks great.
intrigued as to how you operated the focuser at a distance? was it a moonlite add on?
I am planning to sit mine on a cgem with wireless adaptor but haven't considered the focus issues yet.
thanks for taking time to reply
cheers
graham :thanx:

Graham,
I have a SW 10:1 focuser on the ED80, then fitted a Belt drive with a SW electronic motor.
The usual scrolled cable was replaced by a 5 mtr flat cable. This allows me to operate the focuser from inside the “dark” office.
Hope this helps.
