Image acquired orion ED80 optolong L-pro filter from Melbourne last night but again I think the sky was not as transparent as it should be.

50 minutes in total 2 minute subs.
I plan to incorporate the L-enhance with this to bring out the O2 and H-Alpha but it got late last night and i had to work today.
It should get better.
Comments are welcomed.

Look pretty good to me.
I have mentioned this before,...if you have photo shop you can use the dodge tool to bring out faint nebulosity selectively and the burn tool to darken bits selectively but go easy you need to be subtle. But really you should be very proud of your result.
Well done.

Cheers Alex As I acquire more data I'll do so, I'm amazed at the colours that I never knew were there

Great effort Nik,

If you look around at other peoples images you’ll see a huge array of colours in Tarantula. I’ve seen many that are all Ha ( red ), I’ve seen almost as many that are pure 03 ( blue ) then there are almost as many with both like yours and my most recent effort. Well done for 50mins  looking forward to seeing what more data gives you.

Cheers

The Tarantula can be a fiery yellow/orange as well, such an energetic nebula that's both beautiful to image and observe. You already have a nice image at just 50 mins integration, so with more to be added I'm sure it will be a keeper. Looking good!

Nik,
Nice capture with less than an hour of data
Well done !!
Yes this neb is full of Ha and O2 , primarily a blue base colour on my raw subs
I captured 1.5 hrs on this object the other night but forgot to dither , my DSLR is starting to feel the warmer nights running at 28 degrees
Might capture more data on Saturday night as conditions look good in Sydney
At this time of year Tarantula is a late finish , depending on how much you want to capture
I plan to start at 11.30pm and finish at 2.30am , this time I’ll take dithered subs
Heading down to my weekender on Monday for 3 or 4 days so I’ll set up the 8” f5
Cheers

Thanks everyone, I plan to capture this later in the year when it's not such a late starter/finish work gets in the way of a good session, unfortunately the weekends in melbourne have been unhelpful...
