Hello everyone,

For sale my WO 66 refactor. Included a Celestron 2" SCT diagonal with adapter, a Meade 24mm SWA eyepiece and a set of Losmandy guide rings set with blocks and a carry-bag.

Please note:

- the rings re-drilled to 8mm
- the Meade eyepiece not have rubber eye-shield
- it appears the AR coating missing on the front lens

Despite of that, the view is very nice wide, flat field because of the Petzval design. It has an ED element, but I wouldn't call this an APO. I used it as a guide scope. At 400mm is perfect FL for most guide cameras.

Asking for the lot $420 posted in AU.

Kind Regards,
Mick

If it's help I shot a couple of pictures last night
Using a 1100D full spectrum modified and cooled... a bit.

Please don't judge the pics on my processing skill and the lack of data. It just an indicator how the scope perform.
It has a bit of CA around bright objects and for a APS-C
sensor need a bit of cropping. Still, it's a cheap and cheerful refractor :D

How much CA does it exhibit? Got a close up of an area?
Cheers

Hi Nik
I'm at work, but I think have a shot of the moon somewhere in my home comp.

Visually it is very pleasing view with the Meade 24mm 68deg eyepiece... such a low mag not seen CA.

I haven't tried or used for planetary ... it's only 66mm :)
Still very nice to sweep the sky in a dark site me think.

Kind regards,

Mick

Hi Nik,

I find this shots taken with the same gear on the same day I took the M8/M20. Used a full spectrum modified 1100D and LPF/UV filter.
All of these are single shot, not stacked. Only slight adjustment in PS for color balance re LPF filter.

At this scale hard pressed to see any CA. Need a barlow and take a shot at the moon or Jupiter to see.... but this scope is not designed for that.
A C14 is :D

I hope you find this helpful.

Kind Regards,
Mick
