EQ8 Firmware Update

Hi,
I've just taken delivery of an EQ8 mount and was advised that it may need its firmware updated. Does this relate to the hand controller or does the mount too have to be updated?

If it is the EQ8 then it would be the firmware of the hand controller.
If it is the EQ8-R then it may be both. http://skywatcher.com/download/software/motor-control-firmware/
Edit - It looks like only the UK has the -R and -RH version so it is just the hand controller you may need to update.
