Photo Challenge
04-10-2019, 01:51 PM
The Topic this month (thanks to Allan) is : “Scenic”

Reminders ...
* This thread is only for posting your entry, together with any comments/explanation/details you'd like to issue concerning your own photo.
[sometimes this may help sway the judges]
* comments on other peoples' entries, or if you have any "other" shots of your own you'd like to share, can be posted in the Comments and Rejects Thread -> HERE (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?p=1448357#post144835 7).
* only one entry (that's just one image) per person (but you can change it out at any time if you get a better one)
* the image must be your own work and
* all other normal forum rules, and image size limits, apply.

The image doesn't necessarily have to be taken this month, but in the spirit of the challenge, we encourage you to get out and engage with it.
In this regard, YES, the image may be one that you have previously posted, unless of course it has already been voted a previous photo challenge winner.

The winner of the public vote, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic and have their photo added to our "Photo Challenge Hall of Fame".

Good Luck!

I took this shot overlooking Marina Grande, Capri while on the move from an open air cab. Pompeii is at the top left of the picture and Mount Vesuvius is to the left again just out of sight. Capri is located in the Gulf of Naples.

G'day All

I was in two minds to post this. People don't always associate Canberra with 'scenic'! I thought the political element of the nations capital might be a risk!

Anyways, took this one evening after paying my respect at the Australian War Memorial and then walking up Mount Ainslie to look over the city and lake. Canberra really is a beautiful and underrated place!

Lost a lot of the quality by downgrading the resolution and image quality to be able to post - by way of example the actual image is something like 96mb!

Well here's my first competition post, I can't believe I have never really noticed this thread before.

I look forward to more monthly challenges.

Good luck to all entrants.

Cheers

GC

Taken on Oct 15th 2019, this view of Melbourne through a window looking west from on top of the Eureka tower shows Port Phillip Bay, West Gate bridge, Yarra river and southbank skyscrappers. Canon 550d, 1/80 sec f5.6 iso 100.

The drive from home in Devonport, to Latrobe along the river, is an entirely scenic experience.

Haven't had a chance to get out with the camera so far this month.
Illness thwarts best laid plans.
So having to dive into a previous trip along the Great Ocean Road, west of Port Campbell.
It was a stormy day.
The coast was like a washing machine.
I thought it looked like something special I needed to capture.
Tried a slow speed to emphasise the movement.
I guess "scenic" is in the eye of the beholder.
The Missus likes it and picked it from a list of contenders.
Thanks for looking.
