Here are pics from last night, the forecast was for good seeing so I had to get out and try the powermate on 2 day old moon. The images are noisy, but I'm happy with the detail. The region is the north-western edge of Mare Crisium (south-eastern edge on northern hemisphere maps).
Focusing is a real issue at the moment, I think I need to look into getting a simple motor setup. Does anyone know of good kits out there for remote focus control?
Cheers

Wonderful late in season captures Stephen, good detail in all so the seeing must have been good. Can you tell us what you used and how you processed them? ;)

Nice work Stephen
That first shot almost looks like it was taken by a lander, the grand sense of scale is amazing.

Thanks Michael,
The setup is 180 Mak on NEQ6, ASI120MM-S, 2 x Powermate on second lunar image and Saturn. Processed in Autostakkert, wavelets in Registax. I'm still learning my way with these programs. I've started using the 4 boxes in "Frame Percentages to Stack" on right hand side of Autostakkert window, using the quality graph to set these percentages. I'll attach another jupiter image, processed with the settings in the grab which I'll also post. I think it's better than the first I posted in this thread.
Thanks Michael. I rotated the camera in the scope to get the "flyover" look

Those are some very nice shots Stephen, my Moon efforts weren't anywhere near that good due to haze (smoke mostly) causing less than optimal seeing conditions.

There's some nice detail there, and your exposure is much more balanced than mine. I was trying to bring out the shadows, but the sharpening in registax makes the over-exposed regions flare.

There is detail, but the atmosphere was hazy here, must have been some sort of back burning going on around the Otways. Last Monday though was razor sharp, much cooler and no smoke about.
Tonight will be rubbish as it's sitting on 27 degrees outside right now.
