Well, it is there isn't it!

5 X 300 second subs only at this point but there is a little lull between targets for me during the night at the moment so I used it to fill in some time.

Not sure about the colours at the moment, I seem to be having an issue in APP where running the star colour calibration results in images that are really heavy on the blue.

Given my framing there is more or less what is done all over the place I decided to change tack and put the 72mm back on. NGC288 and NGC253, shot between the clouds last night and probably my last crack before the moon is more favourable again. 37 X 300 second subs, integrated in APP and a quick polish in Photoshop CC 2019.

You’ve captured some great detail for limited exposure

Yeah, I was pretty happy with it, I was hoping for more subs but passing cloud stopped a heap over the night, and probably cost a little detail in some of the ones I did get.

Still, it will be in a pretty good spot for a few months yet to gather a lot more subs, previous images says 100'ish subs is about the point of diminishing returns if I want to use drizzle (A little undersampled, so I do)

Really like the wide field, pairing 288 and 253 isn't done too often...great to observe visually too

Yeah, one I will have to have a look at at the upcoming Snake Valley camp, as well as gathering hopefully a heap more subs.

I did it because I could only find a couple of examples.

So, 12 hours of subs down. I am having a few colour management issues which I suspect come down to pushing the ASI294 very hard which causes some known issues with odd colour fringes around the sensor. You have to be stretching the data really hard to see it, using lots of subs to smooth out the noise.

I think I might reduce the saturation just a sniff, a couple of stars look a little garish.
