On behalf of the organising committee I am pleased to announce that we have secured Anthony Wesley (http://www.acquerra.com.au/astro/) as the keynote speaker. I believe Anthony will be known to many of you as he has built an international reputation (https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-05-31/astronomer-photographs-jupiter-great-red-spot/11162824) for his planetary images.
His talk "High Speed Video: Amateur contributions to understanding the solar system" is built on his 16 years of active (possibly obsessive - in a good way ) pursuit of excellent planetary images. I'm sure we will all find his talk informative and entertaining.
More details here (https://nacaa.org.au/2020/event/1770) and here (https://nacaa.org.au/2020/programme).
I think it's time you started planning your trip to Parkes!
see you there,
David
