Harry had to write a short article for school (due in Friday) and he wrote a story about a Space Flight (what else is there to write about ).

I think he did a great job for an 11 year old.
I look forward to the Movie ;)

I offer his story here for your interest.

Third Ring From Saturn

By Aaron James

It was midnight, the space shuttle NASA was just about to leave the Earth on an enchanting voyage to Saturn. Five men named Bill, John, Billy, Justin and Angus, and two woman named Jess and Jane were all on the flight to Saturn to take hundreds and hundreds of photos of it!

‘We are heading off in three …… two ……one, BLAST OFF!’
Even though they were getting faster every second, they were going past the moon, so they got there cameras out and took a lot of photos if it. As they got further out into space their weight begin to drop dramatically to a stunning ten kilos!
They were almost there, when they ran out of fuel. They didn’t know what to do. They had already used all their fuel in the cargo bay, so they were just floating in space now.

As they went past Saturn they took pictures of it. Then they saw three strange rings in the distance and they were heading towards them. As they went past two of the strange rings they got out their cameras and telescopes. They were heading right into the third strange ring when they knew they were going to hit it. They tried to turn the shuttle to go around it, but soon they had crashed into the ring, and they were never to be seen again.

Two years later NASA had built a new space shuttle with a camera attached to it to see from anywhere on Earth and it had a lot more fuel! Nobody knew what happened to the others from two years ago and from then on it has been a mystery and eventually they had forgotten them.

I expected the 2nd shuttle to rescue the 1st shuttle, but I suppose 2 years is a long time.

Ian, dunno where he got the idea for 'taking their cameras and telescopes out'

He wrote it himself, I didn't help. (if I did, it would probably be 20 pages long  )

Great story Harry !

Well done.

You know Ken, it's not to hard to believe though, that a space shuttle mission could run out of fuel, especially considering all the cutbacks NASA's had to endure......
