Thanks for that URL Al, look at this awesome shot of Ganymede, it is amazing :eyepop:
It amazed me how far it travelled so quickly, I thought it would have taken longer. It's the next leg now that will take the longest.
I really puts in into perspective just how vast the solar system is.
Cheers

At the end of the journey, we should have some amazing images of Pluto and a better understanding of this planet.

Yep, they already have a great pic of Plutos new-found Moons! Pluto has 3 recorded Moons now. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hubble/science/hst_pluto_20060222.html
It will be exciting when New Horizons gets there and has a good look around, and possibly reveals even more stunning discoveries!

In that image of Pluto, the largest moon of Charon, seems almost as large as the planet itself, well somewhere around 80% perhaps as great. It might be argued that is a companion in a binary affair as distinctly different in a planet/moon relationship. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hu..._20060222.html (http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hubble/science/hst_pluto_20060222.html)
I think one of the most fascinating areas will in the Kuiper belt, I am realy looking forward to the images sent back from there.

They already classify Pluto as a 'Double Planet' :screwy:
Charon is a Moon to me.
