The stars aligned (corny eh?) recently with no work the next day, new moon and clear skies. All images taken with Sony A65 and Minolta 100-200mm f/4.5 on Star Adventurer.

Processing: RawTherapee (https://rawtherapee.com), rnc-color-stretch (http://www.clarkvision.com/articles/astrophotography-rnc-color-stretch), GIMP (https://www.gimp.org/)

Antares: ~170 minutes-cm2 (11x 60s f/4.5 ISO800)
Lagoon and Trifid: ~140 minutes-cm2 (9x 60s f/4.5 ISO800)
Large Magellanic Cloud: ~60 minutes-cm2 (15x 60s f/4.5 ISO1600)
Small Magellanic Cloud: ~60 minutes-cm2 (15x 60s f/4.5 ISO1600)

Nice pics James, though the LMC and SMC look remarkably similar :)

That's a great series James, you certainly made the most of the conditions.

These look fantastic James. The framing and composition really show these subjects off. I really like the subtle hues throughout especially the golden glow from Antares.
