Another gem hiding in my hard disk.
I really like the type of images the AP Honders and FLI Proline 16803 combine to make. Very flat field, like a large FSQ type image.
I am happy with this Rosette as its proven difficult in the past to get a nice colour balance.

https://pbase.com/gregbradley/image/169718386/original for Lewis:rofl:
Its worth checking out the original size (largest) as its a bit of a spacewalk.

That's a ripper, Greg, congrats! Beautifully sharp, great colour, smooth without looking artificial.

Cheers Peter. Sometimes they work out well.
Thanks Martin. I was happy with the colour. It has a touch of O111 in it as well but not a lot from that. Otherwise it can look just all red.
Thanks very much Lee. I am quite happy with it.
Greg.
Very special. Well done Greg:thumbsup:
I just enjoyed a close up view of the core area, which would make a great image in its own right :thumbsup::thumbsup:

That's a lovely Rosette by any measure, Greg.
The large size was indeed well worth checking out.

Excellent Greg. You’ve managed to get a nice contrast between the different regions without overdoing the saturation. Top shot!

Hehehe, Thanks. There's lots of cool stuff there still to process. I had an issue with eyestrain at one point and I was not processing images but still acquiring data. I solved the eyestrain issue so apart from spending all day processing its not an issue.
Cheers Bart.
Thanks Marc, I appreciate it.
[QUOTE=markas;1445034]Beautifully captured and rendered, Greg:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks Markas. I really like the AP Honders and Proline combo. The large Proline 16803 seems to suit that scope better than the 16200 sensor.
Cheers Tim.
Thanks Andy.
Yes its quite immersive. Its the lovely flat field of the Honders. When everything is all adjusted it definitely creates a nice look.
Thanks Geoff. Yes that's what has been difficult to capture in the past.

It's upside down to what I'm used to but other than that it's a very good result Greg. The colour and details are great! Hard to go wrong with that setup, it's a real photon sucker!

Wow, what a nice image of the Rosette Greg :thumbsup:Some interesting structures in the middle of the Rosette - I do not recall seeing those before. Wondering if there are some other gems you might be hiding away from us...

There are some passages about half-way to 5 o'clock and half way to 1 o'clock that are magnificently processed and extremely three-dimensional.
Colourblind Mike had to interchange the red and green channels to see what a superb image it is. A very high Wow factor.

A lovely Rose Greg, colour is beautiful :painting: and such a magnicient object this one. Perhaps just a smidgen too much smoothing/noise reduction?..feels like some of the details have been massaged out just a little :confuse3: but hey, that's pretty minor really, nice work

Thanks Suavi. Yes there are some other gems including a few 4 panel mosaics.
Thanks Mike I appreciate the kind words. The Ha was very detailed. It must have been a couple of really good seeing nights plus I had the AP Honders nicely dialled in.
Yes the outer areas where the signal is not as strong? I noticed that but figured overall it looked good and to call it a wrap.

A superb image of the Rosette, Greg. One of the very best I have ever looked at. Congrats.

Cheers Russ. The detail and the colour were the 2 things I was most happy about. I have done the Rosette a few times and looking back at them they are just all red which isn't a good colour look and misses out on some of the other colours that are there.
Wow, thanks Richard. That's a nice compliment.

It's a nice composition Greg, but I agree with Mike that it looks a little too smoothed. If you back that off a little, it would be a ripper of an image.

It must have been the last noise reduction I did. The image overall had little noise but in the lower dimmer areas there was a small amount. I'll revisit it.
I should have really handled it as I noticed that myself.
Greg.
