If anybody's interested ALDI sells Motorcycle covers for $25.00. I got a Medium size. They're a bit like the telegizmo covers, probably not as good but weatherproof and thick enough IMHO. Water resistant PVC cover, Polyester fleece inner lining, heat sealed seams, storage bag, etc... Much cheaper for sure.

Do you have a photo of the cover?
I am hoping it's not like the one I purchased off eBay a while back which wasn't waterproof at all.

I still can NOT bring myself to leave a scope or mount out, no matter how good the cover. It's either inside under my roof, or one day, under an observatory roof.
Not worried so much about water as I am about the 2 legged mongrel...
Besides, carrying a mount and scope in and out is fortitude and strength building :P

I don't leave the scope out either but these are better than the rags and old curtains I peg at star parties or at home when I setup for a few nights. The telegizmo stuff is $$$. For $25 and reasonably water proof you can't go wrong.

I recently bought a BBQ cover from Bunnings. The material appears waterproof, but maybe not the seams. Was under $50 - maybe $30 or so? It's black - white or silver would be better ( I would worry about heat in summer). Still, does a good job. Wouldn't be an issue in your case inside tent. My Telegizmos is quite old and the silver lining is starting to come off, leaving bits all over the gear, so bought the BBQ cover to protect the gear from flaking bits off the Telegizmos cover, which is providing the weather protection.
