Vents for a Celestron C9.25" Edge

Hi Guys,
Has anyone 3d printed vents for a Celestron C9.25 Edge. Tempest fans are no longer available for the Edge C9.25" , so I'm building my own. I have manged to source the Fans and jury rigged them up to my Edge and they are working just fine. I'm just looking for a more elegant Fan mounting solution.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Hi Jeremy,
I have managed to source fans that fit into the vent slots, my solution was a little more elegant than the youtube solution, "but not that much better".

Hi Jeremy,

Attached is my temporary solution. I just made a cut out of 1.2mm Aluminium sheet, cut the holes for the fan, then put the aluminium lightly through the rollers on my Chinese "Metal Shear/Bender/ Roller" a couple of times until it had about the same curve as the C9.25 housing. Finally I placed Tape over the lot to seal the edges. Not a particularly elegant solution, but for now functional until I find a better way of doing it.

That was the solution I adopted for my 12" F8 Meade. Cutting the holes through the base on the 12" Meade was a challenge, the base is unbelievable thick. It is functional, but in hind site, putting them on the side of the telescope would have been better, as it would allow them to sweep the boundary layer at the front of the telescope main mirror.

Got two Jaycar computer suction fans with a grid and foam. MBJ helped me bore some holes in the back cell years ago. There's a small 2.1mm socket at the bottom for the 12V cable.

Hi Marc,

I love your handles, it would make handling the telescope a bloody side easier.
That is what I did for the my 12" Meade, but if you are to believe the folks up on cloudy nights, sweeping the front of the mirror serves to cool the mirror and break the boundary layer on the front surface, is better still. Hind site is a great teacher.:D
