Made of vinyl, which means if you tear it, you have to steal your son's vulcanised rubber puncture kit from his bicycle
The telescope cover looks like it could be a handy item.

For an extra $200 US + shipping & taxes you can get you a 10m Inflatable dome from China, $2700 that is just a rip off :eyepop: for how big it is .
Might be something to look into Seeker although the chip packets seem reasonably priced for $30 USD.

There was a thread last year about sourcing a tent enclosure.

spudrick came up with a sample of one

That price has only been added at the bottom of the page in the last couple of days - when I first read their blurb I read the page carefully from top to bottom and the price wasn't listed at that stage.
I like the design but the price is ridiculous!
Steve, perhaps they think they are a fashion statement and we will pay through the nose gladly. :screwy:
Cheers
looks good, the price doesnt tho...
its a tent for crying out loud! :P

I Have just recieved an email back from the company. They have sent me the US & AUS prices.
Are you sitting down? Hold your breath!
AU$3,403.13
plus AU$1,197 freight incl, duties and taxes to Australia.
That's a Total of 'Landed' product - AU$4,600.13

No worries Ken, I think I'll place an order for two
Is there a personal drinks waiter that comes with it.
What are those famous word that come to mind "Tell em there dreaming"
You could almost buy a Sirius Observatory for that price

Wouldn't be hard to build, I was going to tackle one some time ago, I know of a company that will bend aluminium tubes and can weld the fabric, the only thing I didn't do is cost it.

what a steep price for a glorified tent!!! for that amount of money a pre fabbed trailer could be made, with stablising arms like that of a van, but then why bother?

So to speak.....
But what about one of those Cancer Council beach shelters....if you dug a bit of a hole to put the telescope in.
