This one was a filler shot because after midnight the milkyway is going lower west and the helix is in a good position. Unfortunately I only got one night on it. 17x5min. The field is in focus and there are stacks of background galaxies so it would have been a real cool field if it was deeper with less noise so will revisit for sure.

Huge one here (http://www.astropic.space/astro/NGC7293_FSQ106N_70.jpg): [4256x2822 - 13MB]

Nice, supple, and yes needs more data but it is a great shot, very pleasing to the eye

Thanks David. The plan was to shoot this Wednesday and Thursday nights. I got to shoot one sub Thursday night  Come Friday I went to bed around 1:00am. Had to drive the same morning so it didn't take me too long to hit the sack. I was quite motivated.

Thanks Martin.

Nice overall colour, great fidelity and star size, colour and shapes and NO star redaction. Central star torus shows, background galaxies visible...What's not to like?

Well done.
