There are adaptors out there which will convert Pentax K mount to EOS mount such that old pentax lenses can be used on EOS cameras.

Has anyone had experience with these?

They are a little pricey (going on ebay for between US$51 and US$70 each, and say "With this adapter, the only thing you have to do is remove the aperture lever, which is easy and reversible. (Note: removal of lever is not necessary, but is recommended for safety)".

It'd be nice to hear from someone who can elaborate on this a little.

Thanks,
Roger.

Yeah... M42 doesn't require any adapting of the lense, if only K mount was so easy and cheap :)

I have bought a M42 to EOS adaptor.. $9 I think it was.

Seems K to EOS is much more complex (requiring the adapting of the lens) and in much more demand (pushing the price to a rediculous US$70 for a piece of machined metal from China!)

yes but comes at a cost, you will never be able to use the pentax lens with a pentax camera again

.. assuming you don't reverse the proceedure? (they say it's reversable).

Not that I expect to ever use the lenses on a pentax camera again.

Hmm..
