Finally got around to some processing after a very long break so quite rusty. This image was captured over three nights at Qstrofest with a total integration time of 3.8 hours using the SN10 and QSI683. I've also got a bit of Ha data however I didn't like what it did to the star profiles so I've left that out for now.

Comments welcome. Thanks for looking.

That looks excellent Peter. Heaps of details in the field and nice colors. :thumbsup:

Really nice result Peter, maybe a little more contrast would look good but its quite natural looking as is :thumbsup:

Cheers Marc. I'm a lot happier with the star shapes this year than in previous ones. I should have tried OAG a lot earlier.

Thanks for the feedback Mike. I've forgotten everything I've previously learned about PI so this has had very basic processing - just a histrogram stretch, LRGB combination and colour calibration. I think the basic data is ok so I might look at some decon or sharpening and will also take onboard your advice on the contrast.

Nice going Peter. The data looks great, so I'm sure you could torture it a bit more without any artefacts.

It might also be equipment. Perhaps next year you should consider upgrading to include a MB? :D

Thanks Rob. I will be working on that upgrade for 2020. I reckon the MB will take off like duunny tents did

Hi Rob,
On an altogether different topic, what is the imaging camera you use? I am about to get a dedicated astro camera and was just looking at the amazing collection of your recent images.Wow!

Cheers,
Richard

MB = "Mini Bar"
Its essential to have all available snacks and drinks easily accessible before dark falls. Nothing worse than having to hunt for snacks later on David.....
Especially when after midnight its warmer in the coldroom than on the field :)

I'll send you a PM Richard.
Dark skies, and easy access to MB are important pre-requisites :)

A very respectable Lagoon indeed Peter. Plenty of room in the histogram as well to tweak things if you wanted to. You’ve captured some nice detail in the body of the nebula :thumbsup:
