Here's another 4 panels mosaic. This one is a bit of a mixed bag. The top left panel I had from SPSP 2017 and that panel alone was 80x15min. The other 3 panels I shot at astrofest 2019 and managed only ~20x5min on average for various reasons, seeing, weather, transparency and mostly time because I needed at least that number of dithered subs to effectively bayer drizzle. Didn't hold much hope to mosaic it given the difference in SNR and data but somehow got pleasantly surprised so here is is. The res is already there, can't push saturation and contrast too much because it needs more integration time which I'll get around eventually. :thumbsup:

That is very well presented Marc. Nice smooth display of dust and nebulosity that is dispersed across the image and seemingly illuminated by the brighter stars in the image. The cluster is well resolved and colours stand out nicely without being over the top. Thanks for sharing :thumbsup:

Superb !!!!

The background is silky smooth with the long exposure. The stars are pin-points.

The whole thing looks amazingly three-dimensional, very visually pleasing.

That's a nice vista Marc. Mosaics of this area with an FSQ can take quite a few panels to cover the whole area. I did that once when there was at least 2 weeks of clear weather every night. I missed a gap though.

Thanks a lot Rodney. :thumbsup: The clusters are resolved but a little flat in the core because there was such a difference in luminosity and contrast with the top left panel. I had to "HDR" parts of the field and it shows a little. I'll be able to fix that and have a better dynamic range when I collect more data for these panels. Clusters are meant to be sparkling.

Thanks Greg. :thumbsup: Yeah I remember your shots. It's a lot of area to cover and fainter than usual. Of all the scopes and lenses I've tried on it never been happy with the result. My sensor is smallish but with the oldQ I'm chipping at it. :lol:
