Last night in Brisbane we enjoyed some quite steady skies with a crescent Moon setting in the west. I checked VMA (Virtual Moon Atlas) and it indicated that the craterlet Armstrong and the Apollo 11 landing site would be very close to the terminator, so I set up to grab a few AVI’s.
The seeing was pure joy, with small, delicate details popping into and out of sharp focus without any smearing.:) The craterlets Armstrong and Collins were nicely resolved with Aldrin remaining in the shadows.
All taken with a Tak Mewlon 210, Tak x1.6 Extender and ASI174MM CMOS camera.
Stacked and Aligned in AS!3, Wavelets in regisrax6 and finishing in PS CC.
Cheers

Hi Dennis,
My seat is upright and tray table stowed. Looks like we will be landing shortly.
Lovely shots. Love the fine detail!

Thanks Pete, I appreciate your comments.:)
Its a pity I had to end the session as thermals from house roofs began to spoil the seeing.:(

Thank you Graham and Martin, I appreciate your comments.:)
The next evening, I used my ASI224MC Colour camera and added a TeleVue x5.0 PowerMate into the mix and was able to resolve these two artefacts on the lunar surface.;)

Very nice Dennis, particularly the one of the Messier craters - that's almost artistic with the lighting, and great details.
