After a great talk on Telescope Making at the Newcastle Astro Society meeting last night, I
found this company that makes super lightweight but stiff telescope mirror blanks

Yes Denis knows his stuff. It was a good talk I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I'm just wondering if these hollow mirrors are as good as solid Pyrex mirrors?

well i suppose if its hollow its not going to take as long to cool as a solid lump of pyrex, but the real performance is in the figuring not the substrate
