Messier 22 in Sagittarius. Discovered, on August 26, 1665 by Abraham Ihle. M22 is one of the nearer globular clusters to Earth at a distance of about 10,600 light-years away. It spans 32' on the sky which translates to a spatial diameter of 99 ± 9 light-years. A star count in 1930 found 70,000 stars in this cluster.

Deforked Meade LX90 ACF 8" F10 SCT, ZWO ASI 183mm Pro, Svbony LRGB filter set, Red 116 x 30 seconds, Green 58 x 30 seconds, Blue 39 x 30 seconds, HEQ5 Pro, guided with PHD2, stacked is DSS, processed in Photoshop.

The odd number of frames caused by cloud interruptus. ;)

Nice capture, you've got some good colour in the stars. I noticed that you're guiding now too, makes it harder when clouds are around but so much easier to get good subs consistently.

Thanks Rick. Guiding is essential at 2000mm. 1000mm I can get away without.

Thanks M&T. Only just got it in before the forever cloud rolled over.
