I really like how you've captured this James. So often we see posts of the glamorous Milky Way dominating the horizon. In reality, not only do our eyes not see it so vibrant as depicted in long exposures but it is sometimes hidden from our line of sight. You have posted a very natural scene which reflects the way the majority of us would view the night sky. On top of this you have chosen a lovely serene foreground which reflects a time past under a peaceful night sky. The result resembles a painting. Well done!

Thanks Michael. To be honest I had hoped to get the Milky Way in this shot but I just couldn't get around to a better spot. Your thoughtful comments are very welcome!
