Hi all,
I have one of these: SkyWatcher 10" collapsible Goto dob (https://www.bintel.com.au/product/skywatcher-collapsible-dobsonian-10-goto/?v=6cc98ba2045f)
It has what I think is a standard 2" r&p focuser. No idea on draw tube travel though.
I'd like to change this for a dual speed focuser for less frustration on a nights viewing.
I've done a bit of reading and have seen prices from $100 to $1000
So, what is the benefit of a Crayford vs what I have?
I understand Crayford may need locking screw if using a camera?
Will any focuser fit? Or do I need to match specific focal points etc?
Looking to spend about $200-400 at most on an upgrade.
Any suggestions would be great.
Of course any general advice/coments etc, happily received.
