Another Eagle has landed

I'm working my way through some of the more common DSO's so here's my first crack at M16. Centre crop & wider field of view. Both images are 24 x 300 sec. frames, captured with FLT 98, ST8300c, acquired with Nebulosity IV using bad pixel mapping & finished in Photoshop CS 2.
I'll add more data to this at some stage but it's time to move on. There's too many targets & not enough clear nights. Andromeda, M33, Pleiades & Orion are above the horizon in the early morning. :eyepop:.

Well done Antonio, great contrast in the pillars they really pop out. Overall nice shot and one you will definitely have another go at in time...

The stars look a bit bloated but like Anthony said, the Pillars of Creation really show up well with plenty of detail. Nice catch!:thumbsup:

Very nice Tony. Agree - the pillars have come out really crisp. Yes - Andromeda is on my bucket list for this year - I think November is the least worst time for it?

Anthony, Mick, Tony & Chris, thanks for your feedback fellas'. the pillars were my main focus so I'm glad that came through in the final image. As Mick said, the stars are a bit bloated, so maybe an IR/UV cut filter would minimize that
or perhaps shorter exposures ( any comments welcome ).
