Hi all
Had a go at combining my Ha and colour (RGB) images into a HA RGB image, using about 30% red/70% Ha in the red channel, in Photoshop
Images taken with Berts 300mm f2.8 flourite lens
I used this proceedure to follow

I like your HA image much better.
But still nicely done and well processed even though a bit orange.
I like it, very interesting.
Is that the full fov thru the 300mm Scott or have you cropped?

Very nice! Making full use of the available dynamic range there. Very wide shot and lots of detail.

Thanks all
Yes that fulll frame, well a tiny bit of cropping as I "dithered" moving the lens slightly between images, and the Ha one was taken on a different night and was a tiny bit off from the colour ones.

Good work Scott.
I'm interested to know what is the brandand size of H-alpha filter you used to get such a nice wide angle view.
Jerry.
Hi Scott, a very nice image indeed and equally as spectacular in it's own right.
Cheers

Thanks
I use a 2 inch Baader 7 Nm Ha filter, it, and an IDAS uv/ir filter are placed in the rear of Bert's lens.
