Since we're posting half-baked images, here's my recent half-baked M8. This is a whole 30mins of RGB data, 2 of each channel, shot through fog. In fact, transparency was so bad that just after these images were taken, it tried to do a meridian flip but it couldn't even plate solve the image so it terminated the sequence.
No high-res on this one for obvious reasons :p

The half-baked image of the beautiful Lagoon looks great Lee
I think you have a very capable astrograph - happy days
As of posting half-baked images, my mono Trifid is 1/3 baked

Half baked or not Lee, that came out quite beautifully none the less, I like the vivid red, looks like a Christmas card, just needs some silver sprinkles

For a very limited integration it’s come up really well
Bright objects really help :)
Hi Lee, very nice! I'd be happy with that. :)

Thanks mate :-) We've had a week of clear skies here, albeit with a full moon... I thought after resolving the majority of my recent technical issues I'd get a heap of Ha on the Lagoon but the skies turned against me... worst seeing I've ever seen. Guiding RMS over 1.2" with the Mach 1 :o Thankfully last night it came good again and then I saw some of the best guiding I've ever seen... just goes to show you though, even with capable instruments we're fully at the mercy of the skies.
As for your mono trifid being half-baked... ha. If we were looking at integration times I think I'd have to say mine is 0.001% baked.
Thanks Mike :-)
Thanks Beren :-)
Thanks Marc!
Thanks Colin. Bright objects really do make it easy... had some great seeing, but fog came in again which is not unusual for this time of year... but because M8 is so bright I was able to keep all the data anyway.
Thanks Bart :-)
