NGC 6334 in Ha and also using Ha as a luminance layer on some (poor!) RGB data. About 7 hours of Ha and 3 hrs RGB captured in suburban Adelaide. (HaRGB image cropped a bit because of a halo from a nearby bright star - perhaps Shaula??).

ZWO ASI 1600MM-C and RC8 on a Mach1 mount.

Not sure I've done a good job colourising the Ha as the extreme contrast of the Ha image doesn't seem to work well with the RGB data. Any tips on how to combine better? Should I merge some Ha into the R channel first??

Full res available on Astrobin for Ha (https://www.astrobin.com/412273/)and HaRBG (https://www.astrobin.com/412274/)images.

Looks pretty good overall, nicely framed and solid data:thumbsup:
Have you seen Marcos method (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=138473) for HaRGB combine? Best thing ever in my opinion :D

Your Ha data is clean and contains a lot of detail, it's good. Combining with RGB isn't always an easy process though.
What software are you using for processing?

Thanks Andy. And thanks for the link. That looks like it'll be really useful. Mind you, in this case I'm not so much adding in Ha to an RGB image as using an Ha image and colourising it with some pretty ropy RGB data. It may be different??

Thanks Colin. I use PixInsight largely, though some Photoshop for minor tweaks.
