First LRGB run with my C11 edge HD scope using the hefty 0.7x Celestron reducer. Orginally planned the evening for a first light run imaging Jupiter but the seeing wasn't great and after a hour waiting patiently for any signs of good seeing dropping in switched out cameras and aimed for good old M83. SX-694 CCD RGB was 15x60s binned, Lum 15x180s , limited data but just wanted a fun evening testing the scope.

That looks good Stuart - nice round stars to the edge so it looks like the Red/Cor is doing its job.:thumbsup:
That would make it around 1900mm - impressive.:)

That's looking very fine indeed. At the resolution you've published, it looks clean, detailed, and nicely processed.

Nice detail there Stuart. It is the sort of object that requires good seeing for the luminence, so can be a tough customer. Well done.

Thanks Greg,Paul, Mike and Dennis :thumbsup: I have trouble transfering from what I see in Pixinsight to web, looks a bit dark here. Dennis was using the SX filter wheel with intergrated OAG, guiding on the night appeared very nice which surprised me working at that focal length. While the Lum channel looked nice the RGB needed more exposure time but was happy with the short time at M83 and using the new scope along with new Astronomik deep sky filters :)

Well, a fun evening, produced a very nice result Stuart and imagine what this could have looked like if the seeing had been better too? Seeing affects deep sky results too, the difference can be very noticeable at image scales below about 3"/pix, over that and you are pretty safe :)
