I watched the SpaceX STP-2 Launch this afternoon, and it's still playing out right now if you want to catch the deployment phase. Pretty complex mission, with 24 satellites to be deployed at three different altitudes, from low Earth orbit and medium orbit. Multiple second stage burns required. The two side boosters returned to the Cape landing perfectly. The centre core booster had to go farther down range than every before and try to get to the drone ship pad. It made the distance but just missed the pad and fell into the sea.
The video is on Utube now.
I note that apparently the ashes of 152 people were going up on this trip as well. I wonder how much that costs? How do you book for that?

It seems that quite a few have already made that final trip into space.

Hi Glen,
Thanks for the information.
I posted an amazing set of pics on our facebook page last night.
Take a look if you're on fb.
Here's one of them:

Nicole Rix from South Australia just happened to be taking pics of the Milky Way and spotted it, she had no idea at the time what she was seeing. What an experience it must've been! Her pics show the rocket trail and fuel dump.
I'd love to see/take pics of this one day.
How does one know exactly where to look?
Is there a page that gives times and co-ords or something, please?

Suzy, the orbital track that SpaceX shows with each launch gives you the location. I noticed that STP-2 passed overhead of the tip of Cape York about one hour after launch. I rang my son in Qld to go out and have a look.
Thanks Glen, I'll look out for it next time. And that next time I hope I remember the launch in time!
