The weather is giving me cabin fever...but
...Found some old data languishing on my Observatory laptop! and via an Andy C inspired palette, put on some flairs and floral shirt, added some groovy colour.... and.... Ta da!
The link is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery474.html)
...funny I don't remember eating any carrots :)

Looks good Peter. I don't always agree with Andy's palettes but that's a striking one.
Cheers

Thanks Steve....not an overly serious effort from yours truly...but it certainly is colourful!

Cheers for the mention, I’m flattered
Lots of core detail & you’ve managed to render the outer chevrons which is quite challenging when imaging from a red zone
A tad salmon pink for my eccentric taste though
Something NQR about the star registration too, might be worth another look?
Out of curiosity how long was your integration time?
Nice bold presentation of the old favourite Peter. :D

I simply dropped a extra couple of hours of H-alpha I found on the Obs laptop
into my RHA image from a few years ago. There is around 35 hours of data there...
but I made no effort to perfectly re-align the two sets....it was just a bit of fun (the image set is effectively duo-tone)....with some groovy colours...
..and Kudos to you for shaking up the "traditional" AP imaging tree
I also found an aborted data set (due a rogue stray reflection...problem since solved) of the Helix taken with my RC16....it has double the resolution of RHA data....
hence I'm really itching to get the 3nm AstroDon filter set working with the next Helix season
