hope it doesn't sound like bragging - but

in a strange set of circumstances i ended up sitting next to my ex-daughter inlaw to-nite at tennis
she was telling me how one of my grand daughters had attended a bulldogs greet and meet at the bateau bay bowling club last friday.
she won a sample bag which included a bulldogs cap.
she spent nearly 2 hrs in a line up of kids waiting to get it signed by some of the bulldogs that were there - specifically wanting the signature of another player that was doing a second line, she lined up another 20 minutes to get his signature.

she took the cap to school with her on monday and returned home without it that afternoon
mother asked her where it was
her answer!

she had given the cap to another kid at school who was unable to attend the event on friday

HOW PROUD DO YOU THINK I FEEL

she is 10 years old - a mad sportsperson that represents her school in just about every sport they play (including a spot in the BOYS soccer team) and an even madder bulldogs fan

You must be bursting with pride Geoff.
Your Granddaughter shows a maturity well beyond her years. Such selflessness is seldom seen even in adults.

Geoff I am happy to hear stories of decency more so when it relates to a child's unselfish actions. You should be proud and we should be proud that you choose to share such a precious moment with us.
