I'm just starting imaging, and connected my USB guider camera properly to the PC. Next, I attached the GPUSB. It went red, and appeared to install. I wanted to know if it was all good, so downloaded the GPcheck utility from shoestring.
When I install it, I get the error "ActiveX component can't create object:'GPUSB.Telescope'
I then thought well, maybe I'm supposed to put on the ascom driver first. Try that and get another "GPUSB pain - ActiveX component can't create object" error.
I figure it must be a laptop thing. I switch from Win 7 to a Win 10 laptop, same problems.
I follow the guide here --> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/319844/you-receive-a-activex-component-can-t-create-object-error-message-when
but that doesn't solve the problem.
Something must be wrong. Could be me, laptop, driver or shoestring lol.. Did I get the order wrong or something?
Any ideas? :shrug:
