Very nice looking scope, the price point would be interesting but what other than price , would be any advantage over something like the Skywatcher 100mm f9 ED. More aperture, better resolution.

Col,

Reality check. Put your wallet away. One thing the world does NOT need is small refractors around f/10.

While it IS a doublet with FPL31, its f/10 which is a no-mans land - too long to be much good for imaging, and not long enough to be much good for visual - any classic 3" f/15 scope from 1970 will still slay this (think Vixen, Unitron or Polaris).

And your Intes will slay this, on any night.

;) My wallet just twitched as well , if they are well priced and avaliable here ,,, hmmm:question: ,, you are :welcome: Flash .

These would make a great quick look scope , enough aperture for good luna/planetary views and the brighter DSO's like M42 etc . Small enough to sit happily on any small Alt/AZ or GOTO mount ,, nice build too I would recon being LP .

Dont worry about Slaying ( these would slay any ED80 , ST 80 and most 90-100mm achros , probably give TV85 a good run as well ) , these will fill a niech that need's filling and who cares if you or I grab one  .

There's been some discussion on Cloudy Nights but no-one seems to be selling them. Apparently they were limited runs.

???

There are always new scopes rarely any better than ones already available, there are only so many ways to make a reflecting / refractor scope

Just another two element 80mm ED unless I am missing the 24k gold tube and diamonds somewhere

Probably a nice Scope for ' general ' use by a casual observer ... but certainly not a ' must have ' ... I just closed my wallet .....not much in there anyway ...!!:D

NOT speaking of this one, which is a lovely scope but...........

It amazes me on Ebay to see many adverts now with "Classic" or "Vintage" when selling scopes.

I agree that some are classic but I have seen this mo0re and more on Skywatcher and Celestron ??????????????
