IC 2944 in narrowband. (https://www.astrobin.com/406335/)
I've chosen to carefully render this image without stars.
(thank you Starnet ++ best star removal software ever!)
Star forming dark Bok globules float above the swirling painterly molecular gaseous clouds of predominately O3 & Ha.
These gases in turn contrast against the mountain range like shock fronts of S2 - thus creating a somewhat surreal sci-fi landscape.
Like the federal election results, this starless presentation may not suit everyone's taste
Taken from my light polluted backyard in Melbourne.
Healthy C&C welcome :D

Bah!...manipulated art
Nah ;)...as is often the case with starless images, the acentuated detail does look cool

Structures are nicely presented and colours are pleasing, but the scars left from ripping light-giving stars out of the picture remind me that this is an unnatural representation of the luminous Cosmos.

A bit like the election result...I don't quite know what to make of it.
Was someone proposing a tax on stars?
But I'll give you a frank credit on that one...Arty, but interesting. :D

Love it! Stars or no stars the details are outstanding, right down to the bok globules structure. Don't mind the colors either. One for the cool wall.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Looks great, Andy. I'm a blasphemous fan of starless images. I'm usually more conservative with colour and I would never have put those colours together but I actually think it works well. Nice one!

Fabulous detail there Andy. Not having those pesky stars really helps you to see all of it. I quite like the colour palette here too.
Looking forward to seeing this with some RGB stars as well.

I fall into the camp of preferring the version *with* the stars. :)
