A very nice discovery.

Wondering if that is a crop of the full image. How many sec arc per pixel, and what's the angular diameter of the galaxy?

A very pretty image.

It’s a slight crop, I’ll run it through a plate solver next time I’m at a computer. You might be able to get it solved from this image, the focal length is 2800mm and pixel size 10.8μm

Beautiful shot! How do you find which ones to image, since there are so many?

Mainly just typing in NGC & IC numbers into a spreadsheet that I programmed to show altitude vs time of year & moon phases, etc. I like math & data way too much.

Nice image!!
It would be great to be able to simply plug in any NGC or IC number and see a graph of the object's altitude v time like that....

Cheers,
Tim

Nice one Adam, don't think I've seen it before. That spreadsheet looks pretty slick too!

Beautiful shot Adam. Colours and detail are good and the galaxy itself is very picturesque. Nice discovery.
