I got this the last week over a couple of nights. 7.5 hours total time using a Canon 700d and processed in Star Tools.
I did a re-visit after finding an old image I did last year.
180 & 300 sec subs through the RC with the reducer.
Thanks for looking

Hi Karl,
I think because you are not using a modified camera, your image is lacking a lot of strong Ha in the region. You’ve captured a lot of stars and the detail and structure in the nebulosity is lost. Just my 2c.

Yeah I know it lacks the ha that is there but in saying that I dislike the amount that a modded strips the other colours, like your last eta car you put up.

There’s no doubt that modded cameras do overbalance the Ha and that’s something I’m working on. It also doesn’t help that my Eta was taken from a back yard that resembles Times Square. I guess it’s a subjective thing that we’re all working on.

Times Square  Go narrowband for lp skies, I’m on the way to get a set up for narrowband imaging to start doing Hubble palette images.

I’m avoiding narrow band like the plague. I’m going to go down the Dual Band Filter avenue first because I love the portability of my DSLR setup with no laptop. There is no doubt that narrow band is a great way to go.

Karl
Plenty of detail in there, you kinda get lost weaving your way through all the nebulosity
Great result !
