Finally completed my SHO version. There is some purple in the image I cannot figure out how to get rid of and I'm sick of playing with it. Hints and tips on how to get rid of it welcome, I'm using PixInsight.

Hi,
Nice framing. Do you mean the purple in the background at the bottom?
Did you try DBE in PixInsight to flatten the background? Increasing the tolerance to include more background?? Perhaps some PixInsight gurus could help out here??
Cheers,
Tim

That's very nice Bart! You've blended the RGB stars into the SHO image flawlessly

Not sure where the purple is that you're talking about but that's an image I'd happily hang on a wall :)

Thanks Mark and Mike, nice of you to comment.

It really was a fill in object so very pleased with the result. The field flattener is working very well along with stable skies and sorting out my focus issues. Also no sharpening at all, pretty much just stretch and colour with minor noise reduction.
