I snapped this guy just before he went behind the trees tonight. Still during twilight, it was about 9:15.

Very happy with the results! Never have tried imaging M1 before that I can remember.

5 minute exposures, 2 LRGB and 1 for each other colour.

Oh, and the observatory roof was obscuring the telescope a bit, probably about 1/3. (pitch of the roof is to the north)

:)

Pretty good for 10 minutes..
I see your using my technique, the least amount of time exposing !.

You will be imaging this object again in a few months, i can see it.

Theo.

Maybe.. in 8 months or so... but it's a little bright for my usual tastes :)

Nice shot Roger, and a great image scale as well. A shame it is low down for me, and at this time, almost in the glow of lights to my north-west.

Well done, the red parts come through nicely as well.

Very Nice Roger.

I'm glad we have guys like you that spend there time on the dim objects.
I have no chance imaging the real dim stuff here in Brisbane.
