Hi All,
I have finally had a chance to look at some data. Life certainly does get in the way while you are looking at getting around to do some image processing...

I am certainly rusty.

This data was collected through 2018.
0.5M Classical Cassegrain + STX16803 with AOX on a PME2 at Savannah Skies.

Tim

Big aperture, quality optics & mount , great camera, pristine skies....sigh...and the results to match.

Very tidy indeed :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hi Tim,

Wonderfully coloured and detailed image - a little over-sharpened perhaps?

Very well presented Tim, I’d agree that it’s a bit over sharpened (I’m guilt of this too ). This is one galaxy that has interested me visually in that the stars in the central band appear well resolved but either side look like they’re out of focus due to depth of field distance!

Nice. And I all the little surrounding fuzzies set it off

A great image Tim.
It is a little over sharpened but who cares - that makes it pop.

The background galaxies are magnificently captured.

The processing of the main beast makes it look even more like a blue grenadier (http://www.fishfiles.com.au/fishfiles/SpeciesGallery/SpeciesGalleryImageRaw?mediaId=1038 ) than usual.

Thanks very much. Yes, I see it is really a long blue fish!
:)

Thanks very much Allan!!

Thanks Chris,
Yes, the field has some nice distant galaxies to show the vastness of space nicely, I think....
:)
Cheers,
Tim

I agree re the focus and distance along the edges. Well spotted! :jawdrop:
Thanks,
Tim

Nice one Tim. Beautiful colour and detail. Perhaps slightly over sharpened but it doesn't detract from a fine image.
