Good morning,

I’ve started getting some images, trying to workout how to use my mount, scope and camera properly. So I decided to do IC 2944 as I can see that part of sky well. After a bit of reading and some help from Karl on here, I’ve come up with this stacked image.

If that's your first image Roy, you've done exceptionally well ! You've got to be happy with that ! Great colour and sharpness !

What camera/scope/mount are you using ? And what are the details of your subs ? Length, exposure etc ?

Fantastic effort and well done !

Karl/Karlzburg here helped me a lot with how to get the most out of my scope and how to process the images to get the most out of them.
I didn’t realise I had to put how I did it up as well.

Clear skies
Roy

Hi Roy,

You don’t HAVE to put up the details of your images. You can just post then and we can enjoy them. However posting the details works 2 fold, especially in the beginner section. It serves as a way for others who are starting out to see what is possible with certain equipment and gives them some ideas on what to try. Secondly it helps more experienced astrophotographers to see what you are doing so they can offer you help as well. It’s totally up to you though. It’s not a site requirement.

:eyepop: A wonderful image Roy. Nothing to say other than that's pretty much how we'd all like our pictures to turn out!
