My intention last night was to try and capture NGC 2736, a section of the Vela Supernova remnant but when I entered the object into the Synscan controller, it sent the scope right toward the middle of a nearby overhanging branch of a tall tree. So with approaching cloud, I had to choose another target quickly that was in free space.
Polar aligned the scope under clear suburban skies, half an hour later, I'm completely clouded in! Boy it can change quickly sometimes :mad2: Consequently, this is a shot of M104 between thickening cloud. Just 6 x 1 min subs @ 800 ISO, using my Canon 550d and the SW Esprit 100. I forgot how small this object is through this scope! I didn't even have time to frame the shot with the cloud moving in, so where the GOTO took the scope is where I left it.
The first picture is a rotation and crop of the second full original framed shot.
