I used my new Astronomik UHC filter tithe first time on Friday night and was totally impressed at the quality and detail of the view
Had my 12” Goto dob locked on to Eta Carina with an Ethos 21mm and Paracorr Type 2
I tried with and without the UHC filter and difference was amazing
Also used a Panoptic 27mm and 24mm with great views, so much detail and depth in the nebulosity and pin point stars to edge of field
Took advice from IIS members a few months ago and I’m glad I did
Cheers

Their OIII filter is great on Eta as well, have had some spectacular views with both.

Even on my relatively small 110mm ED scope, Eta (and Tarantula) are amazing.
It also shows the Veil nebula very well in the same scope.
On my 400mm Dob, very nice structures can be seen in the Veil nebula.
Without filter it is barely visible in the 400mm.

Yes, I held off buying an OIII filter until I used the UHC
Definitely going to buy the OIII filter soon
Thanks

I also agree. I use both the UHC and OIII for visual and especially AP which brings out the most amazing colours, I've ordered their Ha...should be impressive!
