Due to increasing work travel I am looking to downgrade my beloved Celestron Advanced Series C8-SGT to something more portable. The OTA comes in a custom made, light weight wooden case. Lenses, finder scope, lens tray and hand-held control all fit into the case. I have also thrown in some of my astrophotography equipment and books; I'm a father now and I can't spare the extra hours of sleep demanded by those photography sessions!

The main assembly was purchased in 2007 and all inclusions in good condition:
- 8 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain OTA
- CG-5 Equatorial mount (motorised)
- Counter-weight
- Hand Control (software: The Sky L1)
- Stainless steel tripod
- Celestron 6x30 Finderscope
- Celestron E-Lux 25mm Eyepiece
- Skywatcher 12.5 mm Illuminated Reticle Eyepiece
- Baader Witty 1 Tangent Assembly with Dovetail Base
- 'Introduction to Astrophotography' by Robert Reeves
- 'Philip's Astrophotography' by HJP Arnold
- 'Stars of the Southern Skies' by Patrick Moore
PM me if you would more information or additional photos. I'm also happy to part with a Celestron Power Tank 17. It will require a replacement internal battery, but still cheaper than buying a whole new unit.
I am also open to a straight swap for all of the above, minus the OTA, for a post-2016 Celestron Evolution mount (see my add here if interested http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=173470)
Preference for a Canberra swap-over, but open to finding a half-way point a few hours from Canberra.
