Nothing wring with Curved spiders, they virtually eliminate all difraction spikes from your image through a Newtonian. About the same as using a normal spider. I havent tried that exact type of curved spider, but have seen many examples of them and they work just as well as normal vanes.

From all reports I have read they are great and hold collimation well and eliminate (spread) diffraction spikes evenly.

hey andrew,
a friend of mine has that kind of spider and he has to wait for the shakes to stop after moving the scope. i went with the three vane model by destiny. VERY stable.

Thanks for the advice. The Destiny spider looks pretty good too.

Andrew.
