It looks like the time has come to sell the farm and move to civilization. We've bought a house on Bribie Island and I'm wondering if there are any astro groups or workable sites on or near Bribie Island. I know this means narrowbanding because of the light quality which will be pretty difficult at best but ....

Google tells me there's a club in the Sunshine Coast area:

Apparently SEQAS is centred in Bracken Ridge (North side of Brisbane):

But I'm more interested in you calling Bribie Island 'civilisation'. To me, that would be 'getting away from it all'. :)

G’day Peter, sorry to hear of your decision

Bribie can be OK if your plot points the right way and if your neighbours don’t use spotlights (the biggest risk). East and up (obviously) can be quite decent. Relatively speaking, the LP isn’t as bad as Brisvegas or the Sunny Coast.

And there’s always planetary...I’ve had some good nights there with the planets.
