This is part of Abell 1060 (the Hydra Galaxy Cluster). Apparently there are approximately 157 galaxies in the cluster. I'm pretty sure I didn't get them all but there must be well over 100 in this frame which only covers approximately 50 x 38 arcminutes of sky.

This was taken with a Sidereal Trading 10" f/5 carbon fibre Netwonian and ASI1600mm camera (approx 3.6 hours LRGB integration).

A bigger image with a better view of the galaxies is on Astrobin (https://www.astrobin.com/full/397945/0/).

Arn't the Sidereal Trading Newts awesome weapons!
Well done Kevin - Judging by the the spectrum colours in the star spikes, Yours is dialled in beautifully.

Great image, amazing field.

Thanks all.

You're right Andy, the Sidereal Newt is a great OTA. I collimate it each time I start a new target but other than that, it does it all with little effort!

Lovely result on a cool cluster of galaxies Kevin  always liked the overlapping spiral galaxies, rather unique.

Man that's a busy part of the intergalactic super highway
Nicely resolved. That newt is purring. I'm very tempted

Thanks Marc, Mike n Trish

Thanks Chris. You should have a talk to Diego! I'm sure he'd be happy to discuss it!

Thanks Mike. As well as the vast number of galaxies in the field of view it was actually the superimposed overlapping galaxies of NGC 3314 that made me want to grab this image. I knew I wouldn't get anything close to this Hubble picture (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGC_3314#/media/File:Hubble_view_of_NGC_3314_-_Heic1208a.tif) but I was hoping for a bit more than the vague fuzz that I got. More focal length and much more integration time needed!

That's really nice and something different. I'm going to have to have a go at it too now.
