Mate, do any plants grow in Wales? I thought vegetation needs sunlight to grow!

Hey, looks like things here in Sydney are taking a page out of your book. Being in New South WALES, our weather is becoming just as astro unfriendly... :( My vegie patch isn't too crash hot this year either. Lowest yield ever and quickest turn over/shortest lifespan of plants too. And pests like fruit fly are a disaster taking nearly all the tomatoes. Neighbours affected the same way making people think about abandoning tomatoes altogether, not to mention issues with fruit trees. Very poor season.

Careful what you wish for Alex... We had 7 years of drought not so long ago, seemingly endless blisteringly clear blue skies, and barely a cloud. Goulburn ran dry, as you may recall.

Just what time of year is preferred for star parties in UK? Not enough darkness in summer, often cold and cloudy in winter.

Hi Jeremy
The only places in the world I would like to visit is Wales and Ireland cause thats where most of my ansestors came from but if I do it seems like there is no need to pack a scope.
I gave up astronomy for a while because I could not get decent conditions and often think to find a place out West but looking at the cloud maps it seems although there is little rain out West thete are plenty of clouds.
What do you do?
Anyways I hope it gets better for you.
Alex

Typical... finally we get a break in the weather and you guessed it, it’s full moon.

Perhaps we should petition NASA to send Bruce Willis and a rocket full of nukes to get rid of it.

Now, now, Wavy... what will ET have to hide behind if we get rid of the Moon???

Yeah the Moon is at least useful for getting the main scope and finder aligned ;)

Jeremy, the weather here in Brisbane has been shocking this summer, so much unpredictable cloud, the forecasts are bare 50% correct

Global warming

Just wait for Global dimming when we reduce our emissions if you think Global warming is bad
