I thought it was just my keyboard playing up but I've noticed a few other people mentioning a similar thing here so I thought I'd bring it up in case it's a general problem.

While typing out a reply to a thread, usually a longer than normal reply, I loose control of the keystrokes and find I've accessed a menu item instead.
If I press the "go back" arrow in IE7, I loose my typed out message and are back to a blank reply screen.
I know it's not a timeout issue and my keyboard is wired not wireless.

Has anyone else experience something similar.
I find now that I have to highlight the reply and "copy" it as I go so in case I loose it again I can just "paste" it back in but this isn't practical.

Every now and then. I thought it was the stupid touchpad on my laptop, not the hopeless operator :P .

the only real solution is to type messages in a text editor and save frequently or be prepared to lose them.

similar happens to me caused by habit of pressing the tab key to indent which takes you out of the edit window then the next key can do nasty things depending on how many tabs.

I think it's a built in boring button thingy to stop others falling asleep trying to read through all the dribble. He he he

Although a pain the loses I have had for whatever reason if a lenghty reply post etc I use word star, spell check..er sometimes..copy and paste in reply.
Mind you I have lost a lot of things which in retrospect was probably a good thing.. if you know waht I mean.
